Earlier this year the wrestling world held its annual extravaganza, Wrestlemania. The biggest night on the WWEs calendar is now on to its 29th event, with this year proving to be a record-breaker. An incredible 80,676 packed into New Jerseys Met Life Centre to watch as John Cena took on the Rock and CM Punk attempted to end the Undertakers undefeated streak. The event was the WWEs the highest grossing live event in its history earning a massive $12.6 million; a staggering achievement by any sport or pop-culture standards. The wrestling landscape has changed beyond all recognition since Wrestlemanias inception all those years ago. What was traditionally known for a group of slightly flabby, overweight men in trunks entertaining a gaggle of old ladies in a bingo hall has now become one of the biggest, and visually impressive, shows on the planet. When you actually stop to think about it, the WWE has come a hell of a long way. So how has this happened, how has it become this huge? I have a theory. A theory that over the years there have been five crucial moments that have been so significant, and have impacted the WWE and the wrestling business so greatly, that we have what we have today largely due of them. I give you the five most important moments in WWE history.
