5 Potential Dean Ambrose Opponents For WWE WrestleMania 32

The "Lunatic Fringe" needs something to do on the big stage.

As much as WWE fans would seem to prefer Dean Ambrose headlining WrestleMania 32 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, as opposed to Roman Reigns, the writing is pretty much on the wall when it comes to the biggest show on the calendar. Reigns' controversial push will continue once he inevitably wins the triple threat match at Fastlane, and thus he headlines with Triple H to settle their outstanding grudge. Brock Lesnar will remain steadfast on his path to wrestling Bray Wyatt at the same event. So what of Ambrose? He's still the Intercontinental champion, and he doesn't exactly have a logical role for WrestleMania that a viewer could connect the dots for. Ostensibly, he would defend his championship, assuming he still has it through the bulk of February and March. A match with Kevin Owens is likely out, since they've already concluded their feud at the Royal Rumble. Of course, the notion of a blow-off hasn't exactly stopped Alberto Del Rio and Kalisto's best-of-twenty-five series, so you could probably rule out Del Rio as a possible Ambrose opponent as well. Ditto the perpetually-injured Wade Barrett, who spends more time outside of the ring than the collapsible announcer's desk. Aside from those unlikely choices, here's a look at some realistic opponents for Ambrose come WrestleMania. Some are pretty logical, while others come from a ways outside the box.
