5 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE NXT (Apr 25)

Downs...

1. Decent Story, Bland Match

The sole negative on this week's show came halfway through, with the increasingly fractured Tino Sabbatelli/Riddick Moss team facing Heavy Machinery for what felt like the tenth time this year.

It was one of those situations in which the inexperience of these young wrestlers' shone through. Both sides have charisma, and Heavy Machinery usually pop the crowd, but their work remains inconsistent. They delivered a basic, shtick-heavy bout that offered little in the way of excitement, and while the ending delivered the expected story beat, the four-minute journey was, at times, tedious.

Sabbatelli ended up walking out on his partner, leaving Moss to take the inevitable pinfall to Otis and Tucker. NXT finally delivered the long-teased breakup, and it'll be interesting to see what the future holds, particularly for Moss, who has always felt like Tino's plus one. Still, the tag team wasn't really going anywhere, so perhaps sending them on different paths is the right decision.
