5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 12)
5. Should Absolution
Be Absolved, Or Dissolved?
When Paige returned to Raw late last year, she brought a
couple NXT call-ups with her to take over the women’s division. Then Paige got
injured, and came back, and got injured again.
And now, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville are continuing to
battle as a duo, led by Paige. They triumphed over Mickie James and Alexa Bliss
on Monday, and will both compete in the first women’s Elimination Chamber
match. But what is the point of this group right now?
Yes, there is strength in numbers. But since Paige went
down, the group’s significance has been greatly downplayed. And let’s face it:
Mandy and Sonya are still green, so they really can’t be expected to carry
major storylines and big matches just yet.
So what’s the plan here? They won Monday, but looked a
little out of sorts. Odds are that they should be able to blend in during the
chamber match, but Raw left this writer wondering what’s next for them, if

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
