The WWE wheel never stops moving. WrestleMania is firmly in the rearview mirror, and yet another pay-per-view weekend is upon us. Joining WWE Backlash on the schedule for this weekend is the latest installment in the NXT TakeOver series - NXT TakeOver: Chicago.

WWE's developmental brand has a roster that can only truly be described as being 'stacked'. Hideo Itami gets his chance to shine at the top of this card, recently returning from injury to slap the taste out of Bobby Roode's mouth before putting the NXT Champion to sleep.

NXT Women's Champion Asuka continues to be totally unstoppable, and in Chicago she is once again faced with multiple challengers. The context could not be more different to San Antonio's four way however - will Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot be too pre-occupied with each other to dethrone the champ?

Elsewhere, the NXT Tag Team Championship and WWE United Kingdom Championship are both on the line. Will this show be a transitional one towards Brooklyn III, or are we in for a true treat this Saturday? Ideally the latter, but certain things must happen in order to tick both boxes.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
