Ever get the feeling you're being trolled?

It was hard to shake that notion by the time last night's Raw concluded. While far from objectively bad, the show was peppered by irritating moments that seemed custom built to raise the ire of certain sects of the fanbase, particularly when it came to the evening's biggest developments.

Kane was everywhere. Again. The ageing monster competed in not one, but two singles matches, and his feud with Braun Strowman closed the show, compounding the misery of those who aren't feeling his return. Similarly, Roman Reigns' gargantuan army of haters had a terrible night, as not only did 'The Guy' kick Raw off with a formulaic in-ring promo, but he also retained his Intercontinental Title in textbook Superman-esque style.

While not as eventful as last week, we saw saw further dominance in the women's division, as Asuka and Absolution - the newly-christened Paige/Sonya Deville/Mandy Rose alliance - ran wild. Elsewhere, Seth Rollins and Cesaro met in singles action, Samoa Joe choked three of his peers unconscious, and Matt Hardy's breakdown continued.

It was a typically inconsistent offering from WWE's flagship show. Let's up the downs...
