One of the title changes to take place on Sunday night came in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match when The Usos rather surprisingly secured a victory over The Miz and Shane McMahon, ending the pair's short-lived title reign. While this upset of sorts made sense from both a competitive and creative standpoint, it does feel like it was a little premature.

It sure looks like WWE is building towards a showdown between Shane McMahon and The Miz on the 'Grandest Stage of Them All', which explains the loss. However, with another seven weeks until WrestleMania, and Fastlane still blocking the way, the duo could have benefited from a slightly longer run as champions.

Not only do they have great chemistry as partners, they put on a decent showing in the ring and, quite frankly, it all made them surprisingly enjoyable to watch. The more that we got invested in their union, the more shocking their impending dissension would have been, but with the cracks already starting to show so early, an impending Miz betrayal just feels like an inevitability at this point.

Moving forward, the creative team will have to make it all seem less predictable as the pair seek their rematch which, after Elimination Chamber, won't be all that easy. They could just go "f*ck it" and have one turn on the other this week, leading to seven weeks of animosity and hatred instead. That would be slightly less predictable, right?
