7 Things We Learned From Sheamus & Cesaro On Talk Is Jericho Podcast

The Raw Tag Champs were full of 'craic' on Y2J's show...

Sheamus and Cesaro have been on a tear since being awkwardly pushed together as a tag-team last Summer. Eyebrows were raised when then-GM Mick Foley put the Irish and Swiss stars together so soon after a 'Best Of 7 Series' (one without a firm conclusion, no less), but it has worked out in the long run.

Listening to the reigning Raw Tag Champs on Chris Jericho's podcast this week makes it clear they have gelled personally as well as on screen. Even if Cesaro admitted on Talk Is Jericho he doesn't totally understand what words like 'craic' and 'kip' mean, there's a camaraderie there that feels organic, almost like these guys were born to team together.

When they weren't discussing how much they miss home or the cultural stereotypes associated with their respective nationalities, Sheamus and Cesaro were happy to open up about their careers and niggles with WWE management.

Teaming hasn't been 100% smooth, at least not behind the scenes...

7. Sheamus Was Concerned He Wouldn't Be Drafted On TV

Cesaro was drafted as Raw's 17th pick in the 2016 WWE Draft, and he was quickly followed by Sheamus in the 18th slot. Yes, Sheamus (who had been WWE Champion just the year before) was the last televised pick on the special Draft episode of SmackDown Live last July. The big Irishman wasn't happy about that one.

Genuinely kept in the dark about which show he was going to be on, Sheamus was forced to sit in the backstage area and watch the Draft play out just like everyone else. As each show made their choices and the program dragged on, Sheamus grew increasingly frustrated that he hadn't yet been mentioned.

Candidly calling it "bullsh*t" that he was drafted as 18th (#30 overall in the Draft), Sheamus admitted to Jericho that having to wait so long to find out what was happening upset him. So annoyed was he that Sheamus believed he might not be drafted on TV at all and would have to suffer the indignity of being part of the WWE.com supplementary.
