8 Soccer Teams You Didn't Know WWE Superstars Supported

3. Sheamus (Liverpool)

Could there be any other team for the anaemic Irishman but a Scouse team? The famous Scouse accent, a derivative of the equally famous Irish accent, distorted and bastardised when a bunch of Irish men decided to cross the Irish Sea and land at Holyhead in the 19th century. Three of the four Beatles members had Irish ancestry. When you consider the- essentially- non-existent state of professional football in the Emerald Isle, it's unsurprising Irish fans of the game would punt for the Scouse teams. Pictured hanging out at Anfield and with a Slippy G shirt, Sheamus has admitted in recent years that his support of football in general has waned somewhat, claiming instead to hang his flat cap on Rugby's hook- a far more high profile sport for the Irish. Still, his routes in English sport run deep, leaving Sheamus more than capable of slipping back into his old-school football fan persona at any given call, fella.

Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
