8 Things We've Learned From The Hulk Hogan Racism Controversy

Hogan will be back in WWE one day. Oh, he'll be back...

The Hulk Hogan racism scandal is the biggest one to rock the wrestling world in quite some time. The (as of now) WWE Hall of Famer's foul-mouthed tirade, which included him proclaiming 'I am a racist, f***ing n*****s', has been so damaging that WWE have removed all mention of Hogan from their website and terminated his contract. Hogan was working mainly in a promotional/PR capacity and, although there were no serious plans for Hogan to step back into the squared circle to work a match, he was still an important part of the WWE machine. An instantly recognisable mascot of sorts, to some people Hogan was WWE. Now, that connection is severed (at least for the time being). There has been a lot of fallout over the controversy, with people from all walks of life chiming in with their two cents. Current and former wrestlers have come out in defence/against Hogan and every news site, blog and social media dweller has had their say, too. A lot has been said, but what have we learned? In the aftermath of a story as huge as this, it's important to reflect and see what we lessons we can take from it. Here are eight things we've learned from the Hulk Hogan racism controversy.
