Adam Rose & Brad Maddox's New 'Fitness Freak' WWE Tag Team [Photos]

Start calling them "Beef Mode."

There could be a new WWE tag team on the horizon because at this weekend's live events, the heel duo of Adam Rose and Brad Maddox tagged together to form "Beef Mode." Rose and Maddox wore matching gear while doing push-ups and sit-ups in the ring, jogging around and generally playing a fitness freak duo gimmick. Before the match, Rose cut a promo saying that they were in better shape than everyone there and that he and Maddox were BFFs and then they hugged. Their gear said "Beef Mode€™" on it so it looks like it'll be a permanent thing. Lords Of Pain reports that one fan in attendance referred to them as WWE's new "ambiguously gay duo". At both weekend shows they lost matches to the babyface team of Damien Sandow and Curtis Axel.

It would be good for both guys if this were a permanent thing because Maddox really hasn't done much on the main roster as a wrestler despite working for WWE for several years. As for Rose, the original gimmick he had didn't work, so doing something else with him would be smart. People wanted him to become Leo Kruger again as a member of the Wyatt Family, but that's not going to happen. While WWE likes to try things at live events, it doesn't always mean it's going to lead to something on television. Live events are good place to test things out, though.
