All Elite Wrestling finally announced how British fans will be able to watch Dynamite when the show debuts next Wednesday - and the plans weren't what most had in mind.

It began with an ITV scheduler announcing in a since-deleted tweet that Dynamite would air as a highlights show on Monday 7 October, five days after airing in the USA, then adding that the full episode would run on ITV4 at 8:20am on Sunday 6 October.

ITV have since confirmed this, adding that pay-per-view go-home shows will always air in time:-

This was met with widespread disappointment, forcing AEW President Tony Khan to act swiftly, announcing that Dynamite would be available in the United Kingdom via $4.99/month FITE.tv subscription:-

FITE have since confirmed that this service will be called AEW Plus.

While the FITE subscription is an acceptable compromise, the situation is far from ideal. The implication had always been that Dynamite would air live on ITV (a free-to air) channel in the United Kingdom. Now, fans will have to fork out an extra $4.99 a month to watch it in the moment, or risk spoilers by waiting for the Sunday/Monday broadcasts.
