AEW Confirms Orange Cassidy Signing

All Elite Wrestling is now officially serving freshly squeezed Orange Cassidy.

In an announcement, AEW has confirmed that signing of the indie favourite.

Cassidy has already competed for All Elite, having been a part of the Casino Battle Royale at this past May’s Double or Nothing PPV. In that match, the Beyond Wrestling and CHIKARA star entered in the #15 slot – but ended up being eliminated by The Innovator of Violence, Tommy Dreamer.

Freshly Squeezed made his professional debut back in 2004, and has spent the past 15 years honing his craft across various independent promotions.

With his drunken-bum cool and lethargy, the unique charisma of Orange Cassidy has seen him become of the most fun and entertaining grapplers on the indie scene. And part of his shtick is that he doesn’t even really seem to ever give a sh*t that he’s supposed to be in a fight – a character trait that certainly splits opinion on him at times.

Up next for All Elite Wrestling is All Out on August 31st, which will see Chris Jericho and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page do battle to crown the first ever AEW World Champion. After that, the debut of AEW’s weekly TNT show awaits on Wendesday, October 2nd.
