AEW Favourite Pulled From Major Show Due To Injury
This AEW favourite and current title holder isn't medically cleared.
Having been previously advertised to take part in an eight-man tag match for CMLL this Friday, AEW's Wheeler Yuta has now been pulled from that bout.
Yuta was set to team with fellow Blackpool Combat Club cohorts Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, and Claudio Castagnoli to take on Mistico, Blue Panther, Volador Jr., and Ultimo Guerrero. Instead of Wheeler, it'll be Matt Sydal teaming with the BCC fellas to battle some of CMLLL's finest at Arena Mexico.

With AEW informing CMLL that Wheeler Yuta hasn't been medically cleared to compete or travel, that's led to Bryan Alvarez speculating on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Yuta could be dealing with a concussion issue. Again though, that is merely speculation at this point.
Yuta has been sidelined for a couple of months now, with him last in action on the 12 January episode of AEW Rampage, where he came up short against Eddie Kingston. Despite this absence, Wheeler still reigns as the ROH Pure Champion, having defeated Katsuyora Shibata for that title in November to embark on his third run as Pure Champ.
