AEW's Cody Rhodes Comments On "Underrated" WWE Talent
Who does Cody think deserves better?
AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes has called WWE star Cesaro "the most underrated guy on the planet".
Cody was responding to a fan comment about a moonsault spot in WWE years ago on his Twitter page, and went on to say that the Swiss grappler (who is so often overlooked by his employer) deserves way more praise than he gets.
Rhodes even referred to Cesaro as a "PWG Nikita Koloff". Tremendous.
Recently, Cesaro defeated Drew Gulak during WrestleMania 36's night one pre-show. Then, on the post-'Mania episode of SmackDown, he was at ringside for Shinsuke Nakamura's main event against new Universal Champion Braun Strowman.
These peripheral roles are something Cesaro has become used to over the years in WWE. He's clearly not the kind of worker Vince McMahon wants to push as a headliner, and that will probably never change.
Cody thinks it should. He said the "dude can do anything", suggesting that Cesaro would fare better if he was part of the AEW roster. That's unlikely to happen any time soon unless the SmackDown man could somehow get out of his WWE deal.
