Are WWE Secretly Trying To Re-Sign CM Punk?

A sensational new report suggests that Punk is back on WWE's radar.

April saw CM Punk return to professional wrestling for what we were made to believe was the first time in five years, as the former 'Voice Of The Voiceless' appeared under a mask for Wisconsin's MKE Wrestling, delivered his trademark GTs to Daryck St. Holmes, before making a hasty retreat.

It was later revealed that Punk had secretly worked several other appearances just like this on small independent shows over the past few years. Now, there's an outside chance he might be back on the world's biggest promotion's radar.

This is according to former WWE writer Brad Shepard on the Oh, You Didn't Know Wrestling Show, who claims that Punk, who is still under UFC Contract, is back on Vince McMahon's radar, and that the company "would love to have him back."

The usual pinch of salt should be applied here, given the source and the complications involved with Punk potentially returning. Punk's pro-wrestling misery is no secret, and he has continually insisted that he isn't interested in returning to the business, particularly with WWE, who he loathed working for. Regardless, Vince McMahon's promotion could certainly use a star of his magnitude at the moment...
