Backstage News On Dolph Ziggler's WWE TV Return

Is he going to be ready for SummerSlam?

Dolph Ziggler's expected to make his WWE return on the August 17 edition of Raw in Minneapolis, according to a report from PWInsider. Ziggler's been off WWE TV since Raw on July 6 when he was attacked by Rusev, who used a crutch against his throat. The reason Ziggler's been off TV is because he's been filming the WWE Studios movie "6:42" along with Kane and they are slated to finish production on August 14. It was also noted by PWInsider that the script for the movie is really good and that it's a great project for Ziggler, who is starring in a movie for the first time. His storyline return will likely see him face Rusev in a match at SummerSlam. There's speculation that it could be a mixed tag team match with Ziggler teaming up with his on screen girlfriend Lana against Rusev and Summer Rae or they could just go with a singles match between the guys while the women are outside the ring. . This week during Raw, Rusev destroyed Mark Henry in a short match. There was also a replay of Rusev's attack on Ziggler, which is WWE's way of reminding fans about Ziggler. Lana wasn't on Raw this week. There's no word yet on when Kane is expected to return, but there's a story in place for him to go after Brock Lesnar or Seth Rollins since they were the ones that injured him when WWE wrote him out of storylines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeidVnBvJo8
