Did WWE Divas Division Turn A Corner Last Night?

WWE officials said to be happy with the Raw debuts of Charlotte, Lynch and Banks.

WWE were reportedly thrilled by the main roster debuts of Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch on Raw last night. There was a feeling backstage that the divas division turned a corner during Raw in a way that hasn't been done in a very long time. For the storyline, Stephanie McMahon showed up to tell the Bella Twins and Alicia Fox that she was bringing in some new competition. That led to Becky Lynch and Charlotte showing up as babyfaces to side with Paige. Naomi and Tamina complained about it, which led to Stephanie bringing out Sasha Banks to side with them. https://twitter.com/TripleH/status/620818541814632448 The whole thing ended with the three NXT divas Charlotte, Lynch and Banks dominating the action with some of their offensive moves while all three women applied their signature submissions. The crowd loved the segment and had no problem sharing that sentiment as they chanted "this is awesome" for what could be a very important moment in WWE divas history. It was noted by PWInsider that the plan was to bring the women up closer to SummerSlam, but they did it earlier because of the success of the US Women's soccer team and trying to capitalize on the rise of women's sports in the US. https://vine.co/v/evVWHTg6FHv Ric Flair was backstage at Raw in Atlanta to watch the debut of his daughter Charlotte. She actually appeared on Raw in December 2014 when she lost a match to Natalya, but this was considered her real main roster debut because she's expected to be around full time going forward. There's no divas match announced for Battleground at this time, but now that the three talented NXT divas are there it's fair to say that business has picked up. https://youtu.be/vNSVaayTCCs
