Have we seen the last of the Big Guy?

After Ryback was nowhere to be seen on last night's episode of Monday Night RAW, news broke that contract negotiations between Ryback and WWE had broken down. This led to the Big Guy being sent home, and that was about that. Everything else was pure speculation.

The speculation has continued to get louder and louder throughout the day however, with Wrestling Observer Radio stating that the former Skip Sheffield met with Vince McMahon earlier on Monday to discuss a new deal. According to WO, Ryback wasn't happy with the money being offered, which led to Vince McMahon telling him to go home if he didn't like it.

So, Ryback went home.

Of course, professional wrestling is such a crazy world that all of this could mean a grand total of nothing. Even so, Ryback has voiced his displeasure at his standing in WWE all year long, and it wouldn't be a great surprise to see him sit out the rest of the contract at home, presumably eating chicken and egg whites and whatever else one eats in order to look like that. There may yet be a reconciliation, as you can never say never in professional wrestling.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
