Backstage Update On Vince McMahon's 70 Birthday Celebration
Was Shane McMahon there?
WWE were celebrating Vince McMahon's seventieth birthday backstage at Raw on Monday. PWInsider are reporting his family were with him, but it is believed that Shane McMahon was not there. Stephanie McMahon spent most of the day with a "Happy Birthday" hat on, and colluded with Triple H to shoot a brief on-air segment in which the live Raw crowd would sing happy birthday. When they went out to the ring for the Seth Rollins / Sting segment, Vince in gorilla had no idea that they were going to reference his birthday. The timing of turning seventy on the day of a Raw show, he maybe had to suspect something would get thrown in. He wasn't mad at the script change, and tweeted on Tuesday to say "I'm truly blessed and without a doubt the luckiest man in the world. #BirthdayBoy." With the birthday now over, it is business as usual for McMahon. There wasn't anything too extravagant involved in his seventieth, and he is perhaps of the attitude that nothing has changed. Looking to the future, you have to wonder how many more years he'll serve as WWE Chairman and CEO, but as long as he has his health and is enjoying it, he will likely continue.
