Backstage WWE News On Planned WrestleMania 34 Main Event
WARNING: This post may contain spoilers.
WWE already have a match in mind for the main event of WrestleMania 34, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The New Orleans show will be reportedly headlined by Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. This does not, the Observer stress, necessarily mean that Reigns will defeat The Undertaker at this year's WrestleMania, or that Lesnar will hold the title for an entire year until 'Mania 34.
The end goal is apparently to establish Roman Reigns as the new face of the company, something WWE have been building towards (with very limited success) for the past couple of years.
If that is the case, it'll be interesting to see the response from WWE's hardcore fans if Roman wins - particularly those in attendance, given the extremely negative live reaction that met him when he defeated Triple H at WrestleMania 32.
Should this plan turn out to be true, it will be Roman Reigns' third or fourth WrestleMania main event in four years (depending on whether his bout with Undertaker headlines this year's event). Lesnar has previously topped the bill in 2003 and 2015 - and may well this year alongside Goldberg.
