Bayley Injured At WWE NXT TV Tapings?

It may have been one hug too many the former NXT Women's Champion.

The injury curse that seems to have taken over World Wrestling Entertainment in the last year has begun to seep into WWE's developmental brand too, as Bayley appeared to have picked up an injury at last night's TV tapings.

In an episode scheduled to broadcast in the middle of May, the former NXT Women's Champion took on the woman who took her to the limit back at NXT TakeOver: London, cousin of The Rock, Nia Jax. Bayley was attempting to reverse a Nia Jax suplex and her knee decided not to comply, with an ACL injury the current rumour.

Bayley was able to work a few more minutes and complete the match, which is leading people to believe the injury was a work, but reports are still inconclusive at this point. Nia Jax was able to pick up the win cleanly, which could also have happened as a result of the injury.

If the worst is true and Bayley is injured, it could not have come at a worse time for her. After dropping the Women's Championship to Asuka at TakeOver: Dallas, the feeling was that Bayley would dot all the i's and cross her t's before heading to the main roster to join her fellow Four Horsewomen. She'll struggle to do that with a destroyed ACL, so fingers crossed it isn't as bad as first thought.
