Bobby Lashley To Lose TNA World Heavyweight Championship?

Lashley's championship reign hinges on his success at Bellator 123.

Word is coming in that Bobby Lashley€™s TNA World Heavyweight Championship reign may be in jeopardy. It seems that the company is currently entertaining the idea to have Lashley drop the title in less than two weeks€™ time at the Impact television tapings in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. However, TNA has yet to make a decision at this point. The company and its higher-ups are waiting to see what goes down tomorrow night on Spike TV. Bellator MMA will be holding its live Bellator 123 card on the Network on Friday, September 4th. Lashley is set to compete in a Heavyweight Feature Fight against Josh Burns. The TNA World Champ€™s current MMA record is 10-2-0, while Burns€™ is 8-7-0. So, it would seem the odds are in Lashley€™s favor, however, anything can happen in the world of professional fighting. As such, TNA€™s current plan is to wait and see what happens at Bellator 123. Currently, Lashley has yet to be announced for the company€™s big Bound for Glory PPV event in Tokyo, Japan. It€™s likely that if Lashley loses his fight on Friday, then TNA will have him drop the Heavyweight title during the string of Impact tapings in Bethlehem. However, should Lashley continue his winning ways in the world of MMA, he will likely remain champion for the foreseeable future. If he does hold onto his TNA World title, it€™s possible the company will add Lashley to the October 12th Bound for Glory event. At this time, however, everything hangs on the outcome of Lashley€™s upcoming Bellator fight. Will Bobby Lashley vanquish Josh Burns at Bellator 123 and subsequently be able to hold onto his TNA World Heavyweight Championship? Or, is Lashley doomed to lose the fight and his precious title?
