Booker T Says Sorry For Owen Hart Gaffe On Raw

Booker T said Owen didn't defy gravity like Neville.

Booker T has apologised after making a terrible gaffe about Owen Hart on Monday Night Raw. During the Neville versus Luke Harper match, the following conversation took place between JBL and Booker -
"Adrian Neville may be the first high-flying King Of The Ring" "Owen Hart was a high flyer but not like this" "Owen didn't defy gravity"
That final comment from Booker T is terribly misjudged. Owen Hart fell to his death from a height of 78 feet at a WWF show in 1999. Booker's comments sounded like they were jokingly referencing the fall, but he has insisted that the comment was actually just an error. "I would never say anything to disrespect the legacy of Owen Hart. If I did offend anyone, I apologize," he tweeted after Raw. The fact that he tweeted is evidence of just how bad he must be feeling. He probably never meant his original statement to sound as it did. The fact is that Neville is "The Man That Gravity Forgot", so the verbal gaffe is just likely stemming from Booker comparing Owen and Neville. He was operating his mouth but not engaging his brain. It was only afterwards that it clicked to him how bad the "gravity" connection sounded. Another Booker T phrase comes to mind to sum up his Owen gravity comments. "Tell me you didn't just say that!"
