Braun Strowman Wins WWE Money In The Bank

A monstrous crowd-pleasing victory.

Braun Strowman is your new men's Money In The Bank briefcase holder, having conquered seven other wrestlers in last night's all-action pay-per-view main event.

It was one of the wildest stunt shows WWE will present all year. Strowman was targeted from the first bell, with the other participants ganging up on 'The Monster Among Men,' desperate to neutralise him. Their attempts were initially met with mixed results, but were ultimately unsuccessful.

Strowman was buried beneath a pile of ladders early on, but recovered to obliterate the entire field, especially Kevin Owens, who was chucked from the largest ladder in the building and onto the announce table below.

An exciting closing stretch saw Braun run wild with Powerslams to Samoa Joe and The Miz. He climbed the ladder with Finn Bálor, and a limpet-like Kofi Kingston attached himself to his back, but both were dispatched. Finally alone, Strowman reached up, snapped the chain suspending the briefcase, and claimed victory.

Though guys like Miz had been pegged as potential winners, Braun's victory isn't a massive surprise. He's still WWE's hottest male act, and many a fan's choice to end Brock Lesnar's reign of (t)error. The briefcase all but guarantees he'll have that opportunity.
