Bray Wyatt's Abby The Witch & Mercy The Buzzard Characters Appear On Raw

Are WWE foreshadowing Wyatt's imminent TV return?

Last night's WWE Raw was the first in eight weeks to not feature one of Bray Wyatt's Firefly Fun House segments, with the final pre-taped vignette airing seven days ago.

That doesn't mean Wyatt didn't have a quasi-presence on the show, though, as the Fun House's Mercy the Buzzard and Abby the Witch characters both appearing in the background at a couple of points throughout the night.

Abby was spotted peeking out from behind a wall as The Miz made his way to the ring to interview R-Truth:-

Later on, Mercy was seen lurking as WWE Champion Kofi Kingston readied himself:-

These sightings are a smart piece of foreshadowing from WWE, whose subtlety hammer doesn't usually allow for such things. Credit to them for not beating us over the head with the Mercy/Abby appearances.

The writers are almost certainly teasing Wyatt's return to television. A rumoured comeback didn't go down as expected last week, though PW Insider are now reporting that the former 'Eater of Worlds' is back on the road with WWE. Whatever happens, it'll be interesting to see how Bray's new character comes across live, given the Firefly Fun House's universal critical acclaim.
