On the latest episode of The Sharpshooter Podcast, Bret Hart let loose about his feelings on Triple H once again. What triggered the rant this time was surprisingly the video game ratings in the most recent entry of the WWE 2K video game series.

After being informed that Hunter's character had a higher ranking than his, Bret said; “I don’t care how many titles Triple H wins. He could never lace my f*cking boots up. Period.”

Ouch. He then went on to say that Hunter "never blew him away" and that he was a "very decent wrestler that could give you a good match." He also said the reasoning behind Hunter's high rating was that they had to "suck up to the boss."

On one hand, you have to respect Bret for speaking his mind. It's strangely fascinating to see someone with such a high profile let loose on the man who will likely be running the entire WWE someday with Stephanie McMahon. However, you have to wonder how this will effect his long-term future with them.

Bret still shows up now and then on TV, but Hunter's ego is notoriously a bit fragile, and he may tire of the jabs taken at him. The Hitman likely has the money to never need to show up in WWE again, but the vast majority of former wrestlers in his position would hold their tongues to stay in the good graces of the company.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
