Brock Lesnar Won't Return To WWE TV Until SummerSlam 2016?

No holidays for the Beast Incarnate.

If you've been wondering where Brock Lesnar has been recently, you obviously haven't been paying a huge amount of attention to his career since returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2012. Lesnar turns up for big matches and then generally disappears for the majority of TV, coming back to hype up a bout before a big show.

2016 is no different, and word coming out of WWE is that Lesnar will be kept off of TV until August. At this point he will return to hype a match at this year's SummerSlam, which takes place in Brooklyn on August 21st. No word yet as to who his opponent at SummerSlam may be.

The original idea was for Brock to feud with Bray Wyatt and more specifically Braun Strowman, but WWE has soured somewhat on the latter's push after negative reactions to his work and the less-than-positive reception to news of a potential Strowman/Undertaker match.

As of this moment Lesnar is also scheduled to take on Kevin Owens on the June 29 WWE event in Hawaii. Could that be a warm-up for a SummerSlam bout between the two? What about a Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton singles match? Lesnar vs. Cesaro? WWE has a lot of options, which almost inevitably means we'll be getting Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show once more.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
