Brock Lesnar's WWE Return Set For June 22 Raw

He is also expected to appear at July 19th's Battleground PPV.

Brock Lesnar is returning to WWE on the June 22nd Monday Night Raw show in Indianapolis, according to the Twitter and Facebook accounts of the arena. He's also returning for the July 19 Battleground pay-per-view in St. Louis according to their website as well. In addition to those dates, Lesnar has also been announced for July 6 Raw in Chicago, July 13 Raw in Atlanta and July 20 Raw in Kansas City. https://twitter.com/TheFieldhouse/status/603923971617132546/ Lesnar hasn't been on WWE TV since the night after WrestleMania 31. He turned face that night by trying to get another match with new WWE Champion Seth Rollins. It ended up not really being a match because Lesnar did some random attacks on a cameraman as well as announcer Michael Cole. The crowd absolutely loved it because Lesnar was destroying everybody in his path to try to get back his WWE Title. Unfortunately for him, Stephanie McMahon showed up to announce that Lesnar was suspended indefinitely and he hasn't been mentioned too much since then. The reason for Lesnar's suspension is that his new WWE deal is like the old one in that he works for about 20 dates in a year and usually includes four PPV matches, so WWE chose to write him out for a few months. Assuming he works SummerSlam, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, that means he has to work one other PPV in the WWE calendar. Last year it was Night of Champions in September. This year it will be the July 19 Battleground PPV in St. Louis, which is the lead in for SummerSlam in Brooklyn on August 23. While arena websites are advertising Lesnar's return, there has been nothing said from WWE's side yet. That's because Lesnar is storyline suspended, so if they come out and advertise him that would confuse WWE fans. Most likely what will happen is his advocate Paul Heyman will start appearing on Raw to build up a Lesnar return saying he wants to be re-instated. Since Heyman is on Steve Austin's podcast on June 1 after Raw, they can start the angle that night during Raw building to Lesnar's return three weeks later. Lesnar was rumoured to face WWE Champion Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Perhaps that is still the plan, but if Lesnar wrestles at Battleground they will have to find some other opponent for him. What could happen is that WWE does Lesnar vs. Rollins at Battleground, then adds Roman Reigns to the mix at SummerSlam to make it a triple threat because that's certainly possible as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fOJGZ-NVXE
