Could miss most of the summer.

Unfortunate news for 205 Live competitor Cedric Alexander, as Pro Wrestling Sheet has revealed he recently sustained an injury that could keep him out of action for 3-5 months. This timeline means he may not return until shortly before SummerSlam.

This is a tough break for Alexander. He hasn't competed on TV the past few weeks, and has largely been overlooked by the creative team during his main roster run.

While it's never good to be taken out of action with an injury from a personal and financial standpoint, in the long run, some time away may actually help his character. He originally competed in the CWC, and delivered a fantastic match against Kota Ibushi. Afterwards the crowd chanted for the company to hire him, and Triple H emerged to give him his seal of approval.

Unfortunately, it's been all down hill since then. Alexander was briefly paired up with Alicia Fox, and struggled to stand out in the Cruiserweight Division. Then he feuded with Noam Dar, who ended up with Fox, which didn't do anything for Cedric.

Hopefully he has a full and speedy recovery, and management can come up with something interesting for him to do when he returns. He's too talented to continue languishing on the roster.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW.
