Change Made To An Upcoming WrestleMania 33 Match

Elimination rules are now in effect.

Even though we're less than a week away from WrestleMania, the card is still taking shape. In a WWE.com exclusive update, Mike Rome revealed the upcoming Raw Women's Title match featuring Charlotte, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks and Bayley will now take place under elimination rules.

This is a bit of a curious move, especially so close to the day of the show, however, WWE may have something big in mind to justify the sudden change. Perhaps something like Sasha turning heel on Bayley will pack more of a punch if they're the only two competitors in the ring at the time.

Another possible explanation is that this is a way to get the relatively green Jax out of the match early, while the other three continue tearing it up for a bit. It could also end up being done just to differentiate the contest from the other multi-man/woman matches on the show.

Hopefully the switch results in the Raw women being given enough time to create something special, as many fans haven't been overly enthused with the build up to their showdown so far.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW.
