CM Punk: 10 Reasons He Will Be Back In WWE Before Long

This is pro wrestling, there's no such thing as "retired".

CM Punk's illustrious WWE career is over. The company website booted him off of their 'superstars' roster this week, indicating that his contract has indeed expired. This follows Punk's six month 'sabbatical' after his abrupt walkout this past January. What has Punk had to say about his unceremonious exit? He greeted the news of his roster removal with the following tweet to thank fans for their support €œNope, thank YOU.Thanks for all the help and support through the years. Health and happiness above all.Don€™t ever take any s**t from anybody.€ What was interesting about that tweet was Punk alluding to not taking "s**t" from anybody. This was clearly a knock at his former employer, it was Punk confirming that he quit over differences with WWE management. He also emphasises that he has picked "Health and happiness above all". Again, this can be read as Punk's way of confirming that he was burned out in WWE. The reason that he isn't going to say any more about his animosity toward WWE is because his wife AJ Lee is still working there. He doesn't want to compromise her still blossoming career. So what for Punk now? He has some commercial appearances booked, such as the red carpet hosting duties at an upcoming awards show. But what then? One option that will always be on the table is a WWE return. The company is a business, they can make money off Punk. As soon as he feels refreshed, the WWE door is going to be wide open. They pretty much communicated that by screening the 'Best In The World' documentary on the day his contract expired. It was a sign that they're willing to do business with the Punk brand, they're open to making money with his likeness. Despite hurt feelings, an eventual return could eventually suit both sides. We really wouldn't be all that surprised if Punk is back within the next few years. Read on to find out what will motivate his inevitable comeback!
