CM Punk Is Back On Twitter And Will Marry AJ Lee In June

CM Punk has announced his wedding date and returned to Twitter, marking his biggest return to the public spotlight since leaving WWE back in January. Punk's appearance at the Chicago Cubs baseball game saw him singing the club anthem and discussing the action with the match broadcasters. There had been reports that Punk wanted privacy in his post-WWE life, but that certainly wasn't the case here, he courted the publicity and revealed he was due to be married next month, at which point the camera panned out to a smiling AJ Lee. The June wedding of Punk and Lee isn't likely to be attended by many WWE talent, this is one nuptials you definitely won't see on Total Divas. It's a little bit surprising that the marriage should happen so soon, the couple have only been engaged a short while and have dated for just over a year. Punk is clearly wanting to settle down and get on with his new life as soon as possible. And yet he can't quite walk away from his WWE life. He sported 'CM Punk' stitched into his baseball jersey and was obviously delighting in lapping up the attention. How can he want for privacy and then on the other hand reveal personal details about his marriage? Another thing to note about Punk from the weekend is that he is back on his Twitter. The star sent three tweets to the mascot of the Los Angeles Kings ice hockey team. This wasn't anything to do with wrestling so it's still entirely possible that WWE have a gagging order over him on speaking about his exit from their company. Punk remains a contracted WWE talent and his deal is set to expire in July.
