CM Punk Criticises "Garbage" WWE Creative On Backstage Debut

'The Voice Of The Voiceless' had a lot to say on last night's WWE Backstage.

CM Punk's hotly-anticipated debut as a WWE Backstage analyst went down last night and, as expected, the former 'Voice of the Voiceless' had a lot to say on the state of the company.

Punk's most pointed moment came when criticising the current Baron Corbin/Roman Reigns feud. "This is something that makes me reconsider doing this show," he said when revisiting last week's SmackDown segment. "The creative is bad. I don't anything about Baron Corbin, really, but that's a bad start. It was garbage, right Paige?"

Seth Rollins also got a mention, with Punk following-up on 'The Beast Slayer's' Twitter challenges by saying he wanted to maintain his journalistic integrity by not working an angle on Backstage, adding that the former Universal Champion needed to stop tweeting and delete the app from his phone. Ouch.

On top of all this, a lengthy one-on-one sitdown segment with Renee Young saw Punk claim that an in-ring return "wasn't something I'm actively pursuing." He said he was wise enough to never say never, but that a bridge would need to be built for it to ever be possible, and "it might take as long as building the Great Wall of China."

A breath of fresh air throughout, CM Punk came exactly as advertised. More of this, please.
