CM Punk's 10 Greatest Rivals

7. Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman

Punk's main rivalry in the second half of 2013 was with former manager Paul Heyman. Punk only had one match with Lesnar at SummerSlam 2013, but it was so great that it was my Match of the Year and it's only right that it deserves some mention on this list. If they had two or three matches it would definitely be higher. For a couple of guys that had never wrestled before, Punk and Lesnar had really good chemistry. Like usual, Lesnar was tremendous as the bully that did anything he could to keep Punk down. Even though I always liked Punk better as a heel, he showed tremendous babyface fire in this match by never backing down. It earned him a lot of respect with the fans. Sadly, none of his matches with the likes of Curtis Axel and Ryback were all that exciting or else they would have been mentioned too. Imagine if it was Cesaro in that spot instead of those two? Those Punk/Cesaro matches would have been incredible. At least we got to see Punk vs. Lesnar once. It was an absolute classic.
