A many wrestlers claim to be the best in the world. Very few of them can actually back it up, but CM Punk did. From 2006 to 2011, Punk contested some of the greatest matches WWE fans had seen in years. Whether he was going up against Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy and most notably John Cena, Punk could always be counted on for a blockbuster bout and potential Match of the Year candidates. His presence on WWE TV has been missed since his abrupt departure from the company this past January, but fans have spent recent months reminiscing on Punk's best battles thanks to the convenience of the WWE Network. For the eight years he was with the company, it was rare to come across a CM Punk match that wasn't great. But like every other individual on earth, Punk wasn't perfect. At times, he could get a passable match out of WWE's worst workers, but he, too, had his fair share of stinkers. Punk was no miracle worker and this following list of bouts are pure proof of that. They could be considered five star classics compared to the careers of some, but for matches involving The Straight Edge Superstar, they were the bottom of the barrel.
