Never doubt the ROH Champion's ambition.

Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks' self-financed 10,000-seater independent show is officially a 'go' for 2018, and the current Ring Of Honor Champion knows exactly who he wants to face.

As per his appearance on SiriusXM's Busted Open podcast, Cody's dream main event opponent is Daniel Bryan, who is widely expected to walk away from WWE when his contract expires in the summer.

While Rhodes was reticent to reveal too much information until he has confirmed the show's location, it's believed Chicago, London, and San Francisco are all in the running, with Cody stating that him and the Bucks are "swinging for the damn fences."

Booking Bryan would be a monster coup. The SmackDown General Manager is already looking towards life after WWE, and has made no secret of his desire to compete again, but is bound to the company until September 2018. This would mean delaying the show beyond Cody's original target of a three-month promotional cycle, but Bryan is comfortably the biggest draw they could add to the lineup.

Having previously indicated his desire to wrestle Cody somewhere down the line, Bryan vs. Rhodes is probably a safe bet for 2018, even if it doesn't happen on this specific show.
