Cody Teasing Big AEW Announcement Today

It's something "fans have been clamoring for," apparently.

All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody has hit social media to let fans knowing that the promotion could make a significant announcement on today's episode of Road To, their popular YouTube series.

'The American Nightmare' tweeted the following on Sunday evening:-

Lord knows what, exactly, he is referring to here, though that it's "the other thing fans have been clamoring for" sounds promising. Could it be the announcement of a midcard title, or something else entirely? Let us know what you think down in the comments section below.

This week's Dark will be Cody's second significant stint in the AEW commentary booth. He did a solid job on last week's Dynamite, joining Tony Schiavone for the bulk of the night and only stepping out for his match with Jimmy Havoc. With regular announcers Excalibur and Jim Ross unable to appear for various reasons, and talk that AEW taped a boatload of content last week, perhaps we'll see more of Cody in the booth beyond Dark as well.

Cody sat at number three in the latest set of AEW men's singles rankings. He is currently 5-1 in 2020, with MJF handing him his only loss at Revolution in February.
