Controversial Star Set For WWE Return?
Former WWE star on their way back to the company?
Nia Jax's name has been mentioned around WWE as somebody who could potentially be brought back to the promotion.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that within WWE, there have been "rumblings" over a potential Jax comeback over the past few days. There is no word on whether or not Nia was backstage at last night's episode of Raw, though several sources have heard of her name being brought up.
Jax's last appearance for WWE came in the 2023 women's Royal Rumble this January. There was speculation of a full-time return following this, though it never came to pass. This was Nia's only pro wrestling match since being released by WWE in November 2021.
Nia was a strongly-pushed wrestler throughout her original WWE tenure. As well as holding the Raw Women's Championship for 70 days in 2018, she is a two-time Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Shayna Baszler, with both reigns standing amongst the longest in the belt's history.
Prior to the Rumble, Jax's last WWE match was a defeat to Baszler on the 20 September 2021 episode of Raw, which came following their tag team's dissolution.
