Damien Sandow Brings Back "Saviour Of The Masses" WWE Gimmick

You're welcome...

Damien Sandow has brought back his Intellectual Saviour of the Masses gimmick. Sort of. The Miz's former stunt double, who has been missing from our screens for some time now, worked a dark match at last night's SmackDown taping in Little Rock, Arkansas against Adam Rose. He came out in his trademark blue robe and wore pink tights in the ring. He was a babyface, however - unlike his previous run as the character where he won the Money in the Bank contract, no less - and cut a promo after his win to say that he was no longer a stunt double and would now be portraying "the voice of common sense..." Well, being a condescending so-and-so towards the WWE Universe isn't going to get you over as a babyface, is it? https://twitter.com/TedGilliam/status/643955694123618305?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Since breaking away from and then feuding with The Miz after this year's WrestleMania, absolutely nothing has happened for Sandow as it looked like WWE had dropped to ball with one of the more popular draws on the card. He was repacked from his Mizdow gimmick and paired with Curtis Axel to form a parody of 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan's Mega Powers. The Meta Powers saw Sandow take up the moniker of Macho Mandow while Axel continued his AxelMania schtick. However, the pair failed to do anything of note before the team was scrapped after the real Hulkster's controversy last month.
