WWE's mammoth injury list grew at WrestleMania 35, with AJ Styles and Ronda Rousey both taking up an indefinite residence in the treatment room. Now, it looks like they've been joined by former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.

'The Planet's Champion' may have been injured while working his acclaimed bout with Kofi Kingston, in which he dropped the strap to the surging New Day man in the evening's most emotional moment.

This is according to Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He writes that Bryan went home after wrestling at the pay-per-view and that WWE were waiting for word on the severity of his issues, and that the company are still awaiting the results of a further evaluation.

There's every chance that Bryan's injury isn't serious, and that he'll return to television imminently. Regardless, the problem may have been why he didn't make this week's SmackDown tapings despite his high-profile WrestleMania loss, with Kingston and The New Day's celebration going uninterrupted.

Bryan's preachy heel act is money, and he was invaluable in facilitating Kingston's rise. His presence will be missed if he's to take time off. Let's hope whatever ails him isn't severe.
