It is possible that Daniel Bryan will never be able to return to WWE, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The internal outlook in WWE is negative. The Observer's Dave Meltzer has been told that the injury is expected to be a long lay off. That explains why the company are remaining quiet. They really don't want to say anything other than good news, which unfortunately doesn't exist right now. Instead they are giving Bryan the time that he needs and are hoping for a medical improvement. With scant details on the exact nature of the injury, it is hard to really know what the cause is. But with Meltzer reporting it as "expected out a long time", it could well be a recurrence of the same issue that kept Bryan out for so long last year. Retirement is something that the popular superstar must be thinking about. Two lengthy injuries in the space of a year is a sign. Even if he recovered, he'd find what he did in his last come back, that all of the top spots have already moved on to other guys. The fact is that Daniel Bryan peaked at WrestleMania 30 and it is never going to be that good again. He doesn't live for wrestling and has many interests outside of the business, so a retirement really could be imminent.
