Daniel Bryan Isn't Getting WWE Health Check This Week

Update on Bryan's WWE staus.

Daniel Bryan isn't going to have a health check this week. He's in Pittsburgh for an appearance at a convention, and some reports had stated he'd be seeing WWE's doctor for a health check while in town. However, Dave Meltzer on Twitter said "No, that story is incorrect. He's got an appearance booking in PA." A fan then asked Meltzer "doesn't mean he can't do both, then fly to orlando", to which the insider replied "If that was the case, then I wouldn't have said it was incorrect, would I have?" But he did add "He'll be back if and when he's cleared. Could happen tomorrow. Could happen months from now. Could never happen." Previous speculation had said Bryan would be seeing Dr Joseph Maroon this week, in hope of finally determining if he can return to the ring. Some optimistic fans thought that could have meant Bryan returning in this weekend's Royal Rumble match, but even if he had been cleared, it would be doubtful that he'd be back in the ring a few days later. What he's actually going to do is make an appearance at the World Of Wheels convention between 6pm and 8pm on January 22. He'll be signing autographs and then presumably be flying home. He continues to train with a return in mind, and it is all a case of waiting for WWE's medical team to be happy on clearing him.
