Daniel Bryan Says He Feels Like He Can Still Wrestle
Whether it's for WWE or not, Bryan wants a return to the ring...
Daniel Bryan told interviewers during WrestleMania Axxess this year that he plans on returning to the ring, health permitting, whether that's something WWE are interested in or not.
Retiring amidst much sadness on the February 8, 2016 episode of Monday Night Raw, the beloved ex-WWE Champion has expressed his wishes to wrestle again since. For their part, WWE haven't entertained any suggestions of Bryan working matches and instead booked him as SmackDown Live General Manager following last Summer's WWE Draft.
Speaking to Inside The Ropes (full interview here), Bryan claims he would sit down with wife Brie Bella before making any firm decisions, but that he would find it difficult to stop himself from wanting to wrestle if his health was good enough to do so. Further, the current on-air authority figure said there was "good reason to believe" he should be able to wrestle in the future.
All signs are pointing towards an in-ring return for Bryan at some point, although it's hard to see that happening in WWE. Doctors advised Bryan to step away from wrestling once, a decision WWE echoed before the wrestler finally decided to hang up his boots.
