Double Injury Blow For AEW Stars

AEW stars unfortunately set to miss time due to fresh injuries

Powerhouse Hobbs Jon Moxley

Powerhouse Hobbs and former TBS Champion Julia Hart are both set for a spell on the sidelines following recent injuries.

Assumptions had been made that both were on the shelf after Hart supposedly shook off existing knocks to lose the title to Willow Nightingale in a short match at AEW Dynasty on April 21st, and Hobbs' contest with Jon Moxley on the April 24th edition of Dynamite came to an abrupt ending following the Callis Family member appearing to injure his knee.

Amidst much speculation, Fightful Select were able to confirm both, noting that;

'[Julia] Hart recently returned, but was injured again in the weeks leading in to AEW Dynasty where she dropped the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale. Early indications were that Julia Hart would require surgery on the injury, although specifics on what it is aren’t known. She’s not planned for upcoming AEW television as things stand...We're told that [Will Hobbs has]...a significant injury, and Hobbs isn't expected back any time soon."

Few injuries in wrestling can be classed as well-timed, but both of these setbacks come during strong periods for each character. Hart remains central to The House Of Black's success, having also managed to raise her in-ring game substantially before and during her well-regarded title run. Meanwhile, Hobbs had been positioned as a prominent member of The Callis Family during what appeared to be a fascinating time for the group thanks in-part to the impending exit from the group of Will Ospreay. It's unknown yet exactly how/if AEW will reference the injuries on television.
