Edge Visits WWE Doctor Ahead Of In-Ring Return?
The 'Rated R Superstar' return saga rumbles on in Pittsburgh.
Anyone sick of the rumours surrounding Edge's possible WWE in-ring return should look away now, because it looks like the story just took another big twist.
PWInsider have noted that 'The Rated R Superstar' was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on WWE business yesterday, and guess who's based in that city? Company doctor Joseph Maroon.
This has understandably led to speculation that Edge was there to consult with the medical professional ahead of his rumoured comeback. As always, though, a pinch of salt should be taken here. Speculation is speculation.
Edge's name has barely been out of the headlines over the past couple of weeks. It began with Dave Meltzer's report that "very private talks" were held after Edge signed a bumper new WWE contract following negotiations with AEW, though creative were under the impression that the 45-year-old would never get medical clearance. Edge denied this story shortly after, but he's a wrestler: if he was going to compete, he wouldn't spoil the surprise on social media.
Edge retired from wrestling in 2011 but engaged in physical activity at SummerSlam 2019, attacking Elias on the Kickoff Show. Let's see what comes of this Maroon story.
