It looks like one of NXT's most reviled heels might be on his way out of WWE developmental. "The Drifter" Elias Samson lost a "Loser Leaves NXT" match to Kassius Ohno at last night's set of TV tapings, which should air on March 8th.

The match was set early in the tapings when Samson hit the ring to sing one of his songs. Ohno cut him off, introduced himself, and challenged him to the match after trading verbal barbs.

Ohno put Samson away with a Roaring Elbow, and the fans sang "goodbye" to The Drifter afterwards. Ohno then decided to add insult to injury to destroying Samson's guitar, as shown below:-

Samson recently missed six months of action after fracturing his left angle in May, and only returned to NXT television in November. He has been under WWE employ since early 2014, and debuted his Drifter character in December 2015.

The loss could mean that Samson is either set for a repackaging, or even on his way to the main roster. WWE typically call-up a number of NXT workers after WrestleMania, and with yesterday's tapings running until March 22nd, this would coincide nicely for The Drifter.
