Aside from hair, the answer I was looking for was that they’ve each been in Last Man Standing matches. As have Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Triple H, Chris Jericho and so many more of the industry’s very top names.

My roundabout point is that with a list of alumni as star-studded as that, it’s little wonder that Last Man Standing matches have produced some absolute gems over the years. Of course, they’ve also spawned the occasional dud, with some being rather worse than others.

And so in the spirit of separating the wheat from the chaff, this article looks to do just that as we aim to name the true last men standing. But rather than simply giving you a top ten to dissect, today we’re going to look back at every single Last Man Standing match in WWE history, as we take a whistle-stop tour from the worst of the bunch to the very best.

Nope, that’s no typo! Matt Jackson, of The Young Bucks fame, once faced off against the Big Show in a Last Man Standing match on an episode of SmackDown from October 2008.

At the time, Big Show was preparing for a match with the Undertaker at Cyber Sunday, which was going to be either a Knockout, I Quit or Last Man Standing match. So in order to cover every eventuality, Show would get some practice in by competing in a match of each of those stipulations on the preceding week’s showing of SmackDown.

I use the word “match” when really I should say “mismatch”, because Show was paired with a trio of jobbers, one of which was the Bullet Club member.

As I’m sure you’d guessed, Big Show won in convincing fashion, but given that this was barely even a proper match, where else could it feature than in last place?
