NWA star Taryn Terrell has formally announced her retirement from active in-ring wrestling.

Terrell posted the news on her official Instagram page, and went out of her way to thank Billy Corgan for continuing to have faith in her. The former IMPACT Wrestling and WWE stalwart also said she was "grateful" for all the opportunities she's received as part of the pro wrestling biz.

Taryn debuted as WWE's Tiffany on the 10 June 2008 edition of ECW. She was introduced as then-ECW GM Teddy Long's assistant, but eventually bagged that role herself before Vince McMahon cancelled the show outright in 2010.

Tiffany was released (amidst reports of an incident with then-husband Drew McIntyre) later that same year, but did find success in TNA/IMPACT. There, as Taryn Terrell, she became TNA Knockouts Champion and held the belt for 279 days before dropping it to Brooke.

Terrell had most recently been appearing as a manager in the NWA. Anyone hoping that she'd continue in that role after retiring from in-ring action will be disappointed - Taryn thanked the company "for a fun last year and a half", so it appears she'll be leaving.
