The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cody was apparently the mastermind behind the creative direction of the epic Steel Cage match between himself and Wardlow on last weeks's critically acclaimed AEW Dynamite episode.

Top TNT executives watched on as Cody battled Wardlow for a chance to exact revenge on his former best bud, MJF, at Revolution. Those very same higher ups were reportedly unfazed by Cody's crimson mask and are ready and willing to give AEW all the leeway they need to make the show must-see every week.

It's also worth noting that The Young Bucks were involved in the creative behind the excellent Tag Team Battle Royal, whilst company President and CEO Tony Khan was responsible for the overall writing of said match.

Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko also got in on the action, by laying out the structure for the post-match segment after Jon Moxley defeated a debuting Jeff Cobb. In another masterstroke move, Khan was said to have been behind the idea to turn the lights off before Darby Allan arrived on stage and skateboarded down to the ring with chaos in mind.

To top things off, Kenny Omega was the mind behind both Shanna and Kris Statlander's showdown and his own Tag titles clash, with himself and Hangman Page seeing off The Lucha Bros. to retain their gold.
